Musette Bechonnet
Joseph B�chonnet (1820-1900) was a wooden-shoe maker from Effiat (Puy de dome). B�chonnet made innovations on the existing bagpipe, such as the addition of a third drone. The bagpipe is filled with air by means of a little bellows (souflette). The chanter-drone holder is usually richly decorated with inlays from a.o. mother-of-pearl and bone.
